As general
contractor for the Chicago Shoreline Storm Damage Reduction project,
Broadway Consolidated Companies is responsible for protecting
1300 feet of lakefront from storms and erosion. The main element
being constructing a promenade slab with stairs and wave breakers
to not only protect and beautify, but allow citizens access to
a prime section of Chicago lakefront.
In doing
this, Broadway Consolidated Companies is responsible for all facets
of the job including coordination between The Army Corps of Engineers,
the Chicago Park District and Department of Environment to name
a few. Broadway Consolidated Companies is proud to be an integral
part of preserving Chicago's most prized asset.

of large walkways and steps designed to withstand a minimum of 100
years of storm influences. Executing design and installation of
revetment work, along with placement of large (8000 lbs) toe stones
from the water to prevent further storm damage to the Chicago Shoreline
along Lakeshore Drive. |
